Connect your AI assistant
Last updated: October 31, 2026
You already learn with Claude, ChatGPT or another assistant: it corrects your mistakes, explains a rule, teaches you vocabulary. Once connected to Réviser, it can turn those moments into flashcards, waiting for you the next day in your review session.
What the assistant can do
- Read your themes, the cards due today and your progress stats.
- Add themes, cards (one or many) and lessons with their cards.
It can never change or delete what exists: that stays in the app, in your hands.
A few things you can ask:
- "Add this correction to my English cards."
- "Create a lesson on the present perfect, with five cards to review it."
- "What do I have to review today? Where am I struggling most?"
You don't always have to ask: a connected assistant can offer on its own to add a card when something is worth remembering.
Before you start
- Create your Réviser account and sign in to the app once.
- In Settings → Privacy, turn on "Capture by my AI assistant". Without this consent, the assistant can read your cards but not add any. You can withdraw it at any time.
The quickest way is the Connect my AI button in Settings → AI connectors: pick your assistant and follow its steps, with copy buttons. The same steps are below. The connector address is:
https://your-instance/mcp
Claude (web, desktop, mobile, Cowork)
- In Claude, open Settings → Connectors.
- Choose Add custom connector and paste the connector address.
- Claude sends you to the Réviser sign-in page: sign in, then allow access.
The connector is then available in your conversations, on all your devices.
Claude Code
claude mcp add --transport http reviser https://your-instance/mcp
Then run /mcp in Claude Code to sign in: your browser opens on the authorization page.
ChatGPT
In ChatGPT's settings, in the apps and connectors section, add a custom connector with the address above, then sign in as with Claude. Whether this option is available depends on your ChatGPT plan.
Cursor and other clients
Any MCP client that handles OAuth sign-in works with just the connector address. For Cursor, in
~/.cursor/mcp.json:
{
"mcpServers": {
"reviser": { "url": "https://your-instance/mcp" }
}
}
If your client doesn't handle OAuth: a personal token
- In Settings → AI connectors, click Connect my AI and choose Other MCP client (or Cursor): the token is created right there.
- Copy it straight away: it will never be shown again.
- Send it in the
Authorizationheader:
{
"mcpServers": {
"reviser": {
"url": "https://your-instance/mcp",
"headers": { "Authorization": "Bearer rvsr_pat_…" }
}
}
}
A token has exactly the same rights as an OAuth connection: read and add only. Keep it secret, like a password.
Disconnecting
- Stop new additions without breaking anything: turn off "Capture by my AI assistant" in the settings.
- Cut off a token: click Revoke in Settings → AI connectors.
- Remove the connector: delete it in your assistant's settings.
What about my data?
Réviser calls no AI: your assistant sends the content, under your own account with its provider. The details are in the privacy policy. A question? [email protected].
