Terms of use
Last updated: October 31, 2026
This English version is provided for convenience. The French text is the reference.
1. Purpose
These terms govern the use of Réviser, a spaced-repetition web app published by Emile METRAL (see the legal notice). Creating an account means you accept these terms and the privacy policy.
2. Access to the service
- The service is for adults only (18 and over). By creating an account, you declare that you meet this condition.
- An account is personal. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in methods and the connector tokens you create confidential.
- The service is offered free of charge, within usage quotas (number of themes and cards, daily calls, voice transcriptions) shown in the settings. These quotas may change; you will be told in advance of any unfavorable change.
3. AI assistant connectors
You can connect Réviser to your AI assistant (Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor…) so that it creates cards on your behalf. This requires your explicit consent, which you can withdraw at any time in the settings.
- A connector can only read your content and add to it: it can neither change nor delete what exists.
- Your use of the assistant remains governed by your terms with its provider. The publisher of Réviser is not responsible for what the assistant chooses to send, nor for the accuracy of the content it produces: check the cards it creates.
- Revoke a connector token or authorization as soon as you no longer use it, or if you think it has been compromised.
4. Your content
You remain the sole owner of the content you create or have your assistant create. You grant the publisher only the permission needed to store it and show it to you as part of the service. You can export or delete it at any time.
You agree not to use the service to store or share unlawful content, or content that infringes the rights of others.
5. Prohibited uses
In particular, it is prohibited to try to access another user's data, to get around the quotas or the security measures, to disrupt the service (excessive load, abusive automation), or to use it for unlawful purposes.
6. Suspension and end of the service
- You can delete your account at any time from the settings; your data is then erased (see the privacy policy about backups).
- In case of a serious breach of these terms, the publisher may suspend or close an account, after informing you except in an emergency (security, clearly unlawful content).
- The publisher may end the service; you will be told at least 30 days in advance, so you have time to export your data.
7. Availability and liability
The service is provided free of charge and without any guarantee of continuous availability. The publisher strives to keep it running and to back up the data regularly, but recommends that you export your content from time to time. The publisher can only be held liable for a proven fault on its part, within the limits set by law; these terms do not limit the rights you have under mandatory consumer protection law.
8. Changes to these terms
These terms may change. You will be notified of any significant change in the app at least 15 days before it takes effect; if you do not accept it, you can delete your account.
9. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by French law. In case of a dispute, first contact [email protected] to look for an amicable solution. You can also use a consumer mediator free of charge. Failing an agreement, the competent courts are those designated by the ordinary rules of law.
